Matrix e-Canteen management module is a completely automated solution starting from placing an order to delivery including the payment which helps overcome these issues. It allows item tracking, secure and speedy transaction; prevents wastage of food and error in accounting. It helps management to handle the users smoothly thus reducing the waiting time for the users.

Key Features
Customizable Menu and Menu Schedule
The e-Canteen management module is highly flexible. It allows the management to define items, menu and menu schedule.
Auto-Selected Item
First item in a menu can be specified as a default item. This feature will be useful when the canteen serves one item as a complete lunch/dinner meal or if it wants to keep the most selling item in a menu as the default item.
Cashless Transaction
One of the key features of e-Canteen management is that it allows cashless transaction. It will give the user an option to have a prepaid account or a postpaid account.
Refund Request
e-Canteen management allows manual request for refund in case an item ordered is not available or out of stock thus building trust by charging only for items delivered.
Food Balance Recharge
Prepaid users can get their card recharged from an authorized person. After the authorized person receives the payment and recharges the amount against the user, the amount is reflected in account balance of the user which he can check in real-time.
Food Planning
Planning in advance using concrete and consistent data helps in reducing wastage of food. It tracks consumption of food item wise. This gives management an idea of what quantity of which item should be prepared, thus reducing wastage.
Real-time User Details
Both the prepaid and the postpaid users have an option to check the account details in real-time using the COSEC ESS. They can also decide the item they want to order in advance according to their choice and balance by checking the menu schedule and menu details thus saving time of going through the list of items at the time of ordering. Users can also track their daily/monthly food expenses and additionally see their expenses with item-wise details.
Export data to Payroll/Billing
Integration of this web based application with payroll/billing helps saving a lot of time for corporate and other institutes like hospitals and hostels. The user does not have to worry about paying their canteen dues separately. Using the e-Canteen management, an authorized person can create different reports which can be exported to third party software like payroll etc in different formats like CSV, Text, Excel and XML.
Integration with Printer
The door controller has an USB port to connect to a printer. This makes it convenient as the order receipt would be directly printed next to the door controller for the user.
